Over the hill?
Last night we had a birthday party for my big 3-0. Jeff decorated the house with "over the hill" decorations and asked people to dress in black. I also got a cane to use in case my old age caused my legs to give out on me.
Jeff put together a little happy birthday presentation to watch for my birthday party. We had people join us in our "home theater" AKA our garage for the viewing.

Labor and Delivery Class
Jeff and I had our labor and delivery class on Saturday. Not a whole lot of fun, but I think it helped us to feel more ready. I guess class or no class the baby is going to come out. My two favorite questions/stories of the day were. 1. I heard you can be paralyzed from the waist down during an epidural. (good to know since I am planning on an epidural) 2. My friend had an epidural and couldn't feel anything so when the nurse left and the husband was busy talking to his wife the baby fell out and hit the floor. What are the chances of that happening?
The best part of the class I thought was the CHP officer who came in to show us the correct installation for the child seats. I thought that was a good idea to include. We brought the camera, but I felt a little funny taking pictures. I wish I had snuck in one picture of all of the fat/pregnant women on the ground squishing their husbands behind them who couldn't say anything about it because they would look unloving. Hee hee. It was good revenge though because the evil lady leading the class gave the husbands clothes pins to pinch us with as pretend contractions. I don't think I needed to practice. I know it will hurt like crazy, but she did get the point across that it really helped to focus on somthing besides that pain so I guess that was good. She also had us hold an icecube in our hands for a minute or a minute and a half. It really hurt. The sad thing is that the contractions will hurt a lot more. Good times.

Doctor visit at 32 weeks
My doctor's visit today was successful and I didn't even get yelled at about my weight. I gained 1 and 1/2 pounds. My doctor said that she did not have any openings in 2 weeks, but recommended I see the same lady as last time. (The mean one) I said that I would rather see someone else. My doctor asked why and I mentioned what the other doctor had said about my weight gain. My doctor, looking at my chart, looked totally confused and said that she did not see anything to be concerned about. She said that everyone gains weight differently and since I was not gaining 7 pounds every month it was fine overall. (24 pounds so far) She said that the other lady had not had any kids yet and really liked things to be "by the book". It's funny how much the other doctor bugged me last time. I am very sensitive about my weight and even though I thought the same thing as my doctor it was nice to hear it from her.
I am done!
Yesterday was officially my last day of school. I am happy to have some time off. Every year it is easier to say goodbye to my students and hello to sleeping in. (At least until August)

We're having fun
It is so fun to have David and Sarah, Ellen and Isaiah, Shawn and Jason and Grandma Cece here to visit.
Jeff and Shawn play against David and Jason in a game of "over the line". They had to hit the ball over the line to score I guess. They called it "fat man's baseball". : )Shawn shows off his manly chest while Jeff gives us a peak at his guns.
After the game they hang out in the front yard on the grass with Sarah and Isaiah and I.
A little later we took a walk to the park.
Jeff and Ellen take the park bus for a ride. Ellen did a good job driving.

Jeff and I got married
Today Jeff helped out at my school with the renaissance fair. There were lots of different booths at the fair. Jeff was the performance MC. He dressed like Jesus. Not quite renaissance time but it worked.
This was our marraige certificate and I am wearing my ring that they gave me for the ceremony. Jeff also got a ring. It was cute.
The performance stage was Jeff's area. The students did a good job on their presentations.

Hospital Tour
Today Jeff and I went to the hospital for a tour of the labor and delivery center. It was good to see stuff so I have a picture in my head of what to expect. It was kind of scary also to see all of it. It make the actual event seem way closer to actually happening.
