The Children's Museum

My friend Michelle and I and our kids went to the children's museum last week. We both have yearly passes so we go whenever we get the chance.

Madeline and Micah seem a little young to be driving.

In the next picture you can see Michelle standing behind James.

What is up with Micah wanting to be on the road?

In the next section we went in an Asian boat and we could dress up in some clothes. The kids have fun just getting to touch and play with all of the stuff. It is nice to not have to say "No" very much.

Friends

We had fun recently with a visit from David and Tanya and Kyle, Rachael, Kayla and Landon. We hadn't seen Rachael in quite some time so it was nice that Rachael and family were able to make it. We had dinner, hung out and played with the kids. These are some of my favorite pictures from the evening.

The guys. From left to right is David, Jeff and Kyle.

The girls and kids. From left to right is Rachael with her son Landon on her lap. Rachael is married to Kyle. Then Tanya with Kayla, who is Rachael and Kyle's daughter. Then Micah and I.

It was a good night with friends.

Bark in the Park

We had a great time recently at "Bark in the Park". It is a day where you go to the park with your dog and hang out. They had agility courses, look alike contests, races, sheep herding and much more. It was free to everyone, alll you had to do was register your dog. We don't have a dog so we took Micah instead. : ) Actually a friend of ours was working there and Micah loves dogs so we decided to go to check it out.

On the left you can see behind Micah, Michelle, Madeline and James (in the stroller). All the way to the right was our friend Jeffra. Jeffra and her mom brought their dog Tucker (not shown here).

Below are some dog relay races. They had to jump over the hurdles and grab a ball on a felt board and then return before the next dog was released. There was one dog in particular that was crazy fast. It was fun to watch.

The dreds on this dog were so amazing. Jeff was jealous.

Micah and I were watching the sheep herding.

This would have been a much better picture if Madeline or Micah had been looking at the camera. Oh well. Probably not likely with all the dogs around.

Cute dresses on the dogs.

I am sure we have all seen the new doggy strollers.

I loved the purple streak in this dog's hair.

This is the guy who won 2nd place in the dog look alike contest. All around it was a fun day at "Bark in the Park". We might just have to make it an annual tradition.

A visit from Pam

Pam came up to visit over Labor Day and we had lots of fun with her. As you can see Micah and Pam had a good time with sticky tabs and later with cool hair styles. Pam then got asked by Micah to read a few stories. He had fun.

Micah loves the cat

Micah absolutely loves our cat Al. He loves to grab the cat and put his face into Al's fur. He is willing to share his couch with the cat as well.

Here Micah is chasing the cat all over and you can see the long leaf he is holding he was trying to move and play with the cat with it. He did get the cat to make a couple of swipes at it.

When Micah feeds himself

Oh my.

The Budds visit the Budds

We went over to see Kevin, Luann and Ashley on Labor Day. I didn't get many good pictures but here are a few that I did get.

The Beach

A couple weeks ago we went to the beach with our couples connection group and a few others. We got a little lost on the way there and added about an hour to the trip but Michelle and I drove together and Jeff and Jim drove together so it wasn't so bad since we got to talk and catch up on stuff.

The first picture is Jim playing with our camera.

James, Micah and Jeff just hanging out.

Me and Micah enjoying the sand.

Our group.

My friend and fellow 8th grade science teacher David Pratt gave Jeff a surf lesson. There weren't that many waves but at least they looked good in their wet suits.

Micah and I fed the birds.

I guess that Micah thought the birds had their fair share and he should enjoy some bread as well.

Micah wanted to surf also.

I couldn't resist surfing for the first time so I asked David to give me a quick surf lesson. It was fun. We got to see a sea lion swim past while we were out. A good day at the beach.
