Mom's 50th Birthday

We went out to eat for Mom's 50th Birthday. She got a sundae that Caiden was happy to share with her.

Once Caiden got used to Jeff they had lots of fun.

When we got home from dinner we played with playdough. It was fun even though Mom wouldn't let us mix colors. It kind of hindered our artistic talent.

Mom's birthday celebration was lots of fun. The view was great (see next photo) and the food was awesome. We had lots of fun. Thanks Mom for turning 50!

20 Weeks - Half way there

Well, I am half way to the end of my pregnancy. I am 20 weeks along and I already feel big and loppy. The last 2 weeks I seem to have ballooned. I keep thinking I can't really keep growing for 20 more weeks. I am sure I would end up popping. Oh yeah, I will. : )

I tried to play volleyball last night and discovered that I can't stretch or move the way I used to. It didn't feel good. Volleyball is going to become a spectator sport for me I think for the next several months.

Four Months and counting

I had to borrow the church camera in order to get a photo of myself at four months. We are working on either getting our camera fixed or maybe buying another camera. We'll see.

Luann's Birthday

We had a great time hanging out with Luann, Kevin and Ashley for Luann's 50th birthday celebration. On Saturday we started off with a very fun video chat with David, Sarah, Ellen and Isaiah. Our side of the conversation was not half as entertaining as their side since we did not have kids bouncing all over and singing.

After this we were off to the 17 mile drive in Monterey and Point Lobos. We stopped on the way and had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean. The name of the place was something like the Spanish Bay Inn.

After that we drove along the 17 mile drive stopping at some of the view points along the way. It was an unexpectedly beautiful day after all of the rain we have had. When we got to Point Lobos we walked a short trail and enjoyed the ocean view. We would have pictures of all of this wonderful stuff if we had our camera in working order.

After Point Lobos we went to a restaurant in the Hyatt at Carmel called the Highlands. (or something like that) We enjoyed a 4 course dinner at a five star restaurant. It was amazing. We were seated at 5:30 for our dinner and finished just after 9:00. That means we were eating for 3 1/2 hours. It was awesome and the view was unbelievable.

Thanks Luann for turning 50! It was fun!

A $300 mistake?

Jeff today as he was navigating out of his truck dropped our camera onto the ground. Oh, did I mention we bought the camera less than a year ago? Let's just say that a long life for this camera may be over. It sounds pretty bad. We will have to look into getting it fixed.

On an up note Jeff got a new trio phone and is very jazzed about that. It is a phone and palm in one. He got a great deal on it from someone who lives close to us and didn't like it after they got it. Now we just have to bubble wrap it in case it gets dropped.

Jeff vs. the cat

Jeff has often times complained about the cat sleeping in bed with us, to which I would say, "yes, but he is so cute". Jeff has even gone so far as to accuse me of loving the cat more than him. (well.... maybe) But lately sleep has seemed more valuable than the cute cat snuggling with me, so Al lately is locked out of the bed room. Part of this is because of his habit of trying to sleep on my face. We'll see how long the banishment of Al lasts from the bedroom. So for now, Jeff wins.

Being sick is no fun.

Well, I am officially sick of being sick. I have been sick off and on for about 2 weeks now and it is no fun. As soon as I start to feel better I get knocked off of my feet again. I am surprised because most of the time I get sick when I am really pushing myself or not eating healthy, but neither of those is an issue right now. I think what I have is just going around.

So much for pregnant women having an increased immune system. Oh well.

It's a boy!

It was fun to see our baby today a little more up close and personal. It was amazing the amount of detail we could see. We could count the baby's fingers, see the entire vertebrae and rib cage as well as a clear look at the sex of the baby (not shown here). Obviously from the title of the post we are having a boy. It just make things a little more real in our minds. Now comes the hard part. Choosing a name.
