Mauldwin Friends

Michelle let me download a few pictures from her camera the other night. These were some of my favorites.

The first is of Micah, Madeline and James taking a bath together. It looks like lots of fun.

To go with the swimsuit picture from a last week I had to include Micah dressed up like a princess. He does love to dress up in Madeline's princess clothes. Actually, he just likes to dress up. I may have to get him some dress up stuff.

This last one doesn't include Micah but I thought it was so funny that when Michelle put curlers in Madeline's hair James got one also. Too cute.

Dressing up and friends

Here is a picture of Michelle and James. James has had diaper rash so bad over the last 2 weeks that his bottom has actually been bleeding. It is so sad. It looks better over the last couple days but I still feel really bad for the little guy. He has had diarrhea which has caused most of it. Michelle has Kaiser and they were not very helpful from what she said. I have Kaiser and I have not minded them too much but I do hear stories.


Madeline came out dressed up in a swimsuit and tie around skirt. She was showing off to everyone. Micah BEGGED us to let him wear it so Madeline got out another one that he could wear.

Only real men wear peach and pink girl swimsuits.

Megan and two of her three kids were there also. Audrey is a week older than Micah and Blake is four years old. This is Audrey. What a cutie.

This is Blake. Not the best photo but I loved his eyes in this picture.

And lastly is Megan. It was a nice time hanging out.

In the shade... or not

Last weekend I told Jeff that I was looking forward to having the shade from our fruit trees over the sand box when it got hot again. Not more than a few hours later the gardener came and cut off all of the shade. I hope these trees grow fast.

Budd cookie making

Micah and I made cookies last week. As I was searching for the chocolate chips I came back to discover Micah helping himself to the cookie dough. Who needs to use hands when you can reach the dough with your mouth?

Guest Presenter

A couple of years ago I had a friend, Jinsoo, who is getting his PhD in chemistry, tell me he should come in and do an experiment with my class. I told him any time and this week he came in to do it. The students seemed to really enjoy it and it gave me a break as well. First Jinsoo did some color flame tests with different elements and then he had the students do their own experiment involving Luminol. That is the stuff in CSI that glows when it comes into contact with blood. These are some pictures and a video from the day.

New Friends

Lately we have done a few things with some new couples. Vy and Amanda are shown here in the first picture. They are both really nice and I like them a lot. Jeff is friends with Vy's husband Chris, taking the picture in the second photo. Sal and Amanda have been friends with Chris and Vy for a while through a program called City Team that is pretty cool. Chris and Vy both work for the organization. It is designed to help people get out of bad situations and onto their feet again.



In this picture Sal and Chris are on the couch. Chris is taking a picture of Isaiah who is Sal and Amanda's son. He just turned one this week and is a total cutie.

Nice day for the park

It has been cold out lately but this week we finally had some nice days. Michelle and I took advantage of the weather and took the kids to the park for hours. We had fun and the kids seemed to enjoy themselves also. : )
