Bark in the Park

We had a great time recently at "Bark in the Park". It is a day where you go to the park with your dog and hang out. They had agility courses, look alike contests, races, sheep herding and much more. It was free to everyone, alll you had to do was register your dog. We don't have a dog so we took Micah instead. : ) Actually a friend of ours was working there and Micah loves dogs so we decided to go to check it out.

On the left you can see behind Micah, Michelle, Madeline and James (in the stroller). All the way to the right was our friend Jeffra. Jeffra and her mom brought their dog Tucker (not shown here).

Below are some dog relay races. They had to jump over the hurdles and grab a ball on a felt board and then return before the next dog was released. There was one dog in particular that was crazy fast. It was fun to watch.

The dreds on this dog were so amazing. Jeff was jealous.

Micah and I were watching the sheep herding.

This would have been a much better picture if Madeline or Micah had been looking at the camera. Oh well. Probably not likely with all the dogs around.

Cute dresses on the dogs.

I am sure we have all seen the new doggy strollers.

I loved the purple streak in this dog's hair.

This is the guy who won 2nd place in the dog look alike contest. All around it was a fun day at "Bark in the Park". We might just have to make it an annual tradition.

Ha, he does look like his dog. How funny! Even funnier that he admits it and entered a contest - even wore a white t-shirt I'll bet because it matches his dog.

Did you put a leash on Micah so you wouldn't feel left out!

Looks like fun. So, did it make you want to get a dog?

What a great day...... I would have like seeing the dogs to the courses and herd the sheep.
