DC pics part 1

Jeff and I had fun in DC. Here are a few pictures of our explorations.

The first are of a fountain that was close to our hotel. Micah liked to look at the fountain and put his feet in the water.

The Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial.

World War II Memorial

The next two pictures are from the "National Aquarium." All of the "National Stuff" had been free so we were suprised that it cost $5 per person to go, but it sounded cool so we went. Now keeping in mind that all of the Smithsonian Museums are free, amazing and right down the street we thought this would be pretty good. Unfortunately most pet stores have better stuff and I am not joking. The only difference was that these aquariums were bigger so they had bigger fish but that was it. It was only one room. What a waste of money. : (

We decided to celebrate the 4th of July on the Mall between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial with thousands of other people. It wasn't that crowded because there is so much space. I don't know if we will ever be in our nations capital again on the 4th of July. It was pretty cool and I was glad we went.

These last pictures are all from our "National Cathedral". This is were you see all of the funerals and other stuff happen in the capital like after 9/11. It was gorgeous and amazing to hear about how it was built. I wasn't aware we had such a cool cathedral in the US but I learned that there is an even bigger one in New York. The pictures are from the Church's bell tower, gardens and inside. The pictures don't do it justice but I wanted to share a few.

He did good. Actually he looked at them for a while then got tired of them and wanted to play. They were really loud so I was relieved that he wasn't crying.

it is so beautiful, it almost looks like you are in Ireland with all of the cathedrals, and beautiful architecture. It looks so relaxing and tranquil. I've never been, but after seeing your pictures I sure would love to.
