My cat

Well, this is kind of old news by now but my cat Al was really sick last week. Sick enough that I thought he might die and almost took him to emergency at 5:00 am one morning. Well, two trips to the vet and about $250 later he is alive and kicking. He is a great cat and I am so glad that he didn't die. I actually found him two times at his sickest just laying in his cat box. If you know anything about cats you know they are pretty clean and have to be feeling really bad to be laying where they go to the bathroom. Without going into too much detail lets just say that Al had some vomiting and poop issues so he had to stay in the bathroom most of the time. I felt bad for him after he had been in the bathroom almost two days so I let him out and he leaked on the carpet. Poor thing. He didn't mean to, it was just the poop issues I was talking about. I picked him up and cleaned him up, I was doing a lot of that for him, and went to put him back in the bathroom. I was thinking that I wished there was a way he could still be out and not stuck in the bathroom and remembered that they sell diapers for animals and then I thought maybe Micah's diaper would work. I thought about the whole tail issue and decided I could just cut a spot for it. It worked great and Al got to hang out with us during the day. He doesn't look very happy in these two pictures but he really didn't seem to mind it too much.

Brilliant idea. I wouldn't have thought to use Kiya's diapers, so kudos for the quick thinking.

Both my sister's dogs wear diapers...they always have. It's not because they are old or sick, it's because they are so inbred that they are really rather stupid.

I am glad to see that Al is feeling better. It is so sad and hard to see a loved pet and member of the family feeling ill. When Hunter had his hip surgery we had to keep him in the bathroom for a few days. I would sit outside the bathroom door and cry because I felt so bad for him. I'm glad to see that Al is doing better.

Poor Al. Those pictures really are funny. I'm sure he must have appreciated being able to hang out with you guys instead of being locked in the bathroom, so great idea! You did good. :)

I'm so glad that Al is better! The pictures are really funny........ I have always kept Q in the house because I remember how horrible it was when our cats would get hurt or sick.
